Watch closely (from right to left ) as a bird enters the engine intake of this jet aircraft causing an engine failure about 6 seconds into the clip.

The above video clip was recorded in May of 2004 during a training flight at the NATO Flying Training Center (NFTC) in Saskatchewan Canada. It shows the dramatic results of a bird ingestion into the engine of a BAE Systems CT-155 Hawk Fighter. Both pilots ejected safely but the loss of the aircraft was at a cost of $26.4 million dollars.
